Shirley A.( Askin) Mason, age 90 of Framingham, on October 10, 2012.
Born and raised in Framingham, she was a member of the Framingham High School class of 1939 and graduate of the Framingham State Teachers College class of 1943. She taught at the Roosevelt School in Framingham until 1948 when she and Arthur M. Mason, also a member of the Framingham High School class of 1939, were married. They resided in Framingham and raised their two sons, Dana and Peter, after which she resumed her teaching career and was for many years teaching at the Merriam McCarthy School in Framingham in the then Title 1 program. She was active in Haddassah and Temple Beth Sholom Sisterhood, as well as other community organizations. She is also a founding member of the Danforth Museum in Framingham.

Following interment at The Framingham-Natick Hebrew Cemetery memorial observance will be at her residence Saturday 7-9pm, Sunday 2-4, 7-9pm. Remembrances in her memory may be made to charity of choice.
